Museum Hours and Fees

Mission San Luis Rey’s museum collection includes artifacts from Native American, Spanish, Mission, Mexican Secularization and American Military periods.

Self-Guided Tours

Hours: Open 7 days a week: 10 am - 4:00 pm (The Museum is closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.)
Fees:

Adults $8

Seniors (65+) $5

Youth (ages 6-18) $5

Ages 5 and under, free of charge

Active-Duty Military and dependents, free of charge

Audio Tour available $3

  • For an additional $3, our new audio tour will bring Luiseño and Mission history alive as you walk through the exhibits in our Museum.

Kids' Free San Diego 2024!

All month long, kids 12 and under receive FREE admission with a paid adult to more than 50 of San Diego County’s favorite museums and historic sites - INCLUDING MISSION SAN LUIS REY MUSEUM - as well as aquariums, gardens and more. Many are even free for the whole family!

Guided Behind-the-Scenes Tours

On Saturdays and Sundays, special Guided Behind-the-Scenes Tours are available. For more information, call (760) 757-3651 x170 or to sign up online CLICK HERE.

Group tours can be scheduled for up to 15 people by calling the Museum at (760) 757-3651 x170 or email Helena@sanluisrey.org.

The cost of group tours is:
    Adults - $12 per person
    Youth under 18, seniors, and Active-Duty Military - $10 per person
